Call for Congressional Hearings on Second Class Status of Independent Voters
Harlem Week attendees sign postcards asking Congress to hold public hearings to investigate the second class citizenship of independent voters. In many states, including New York, independents are not allowed to vote in the primaries, which is where most elections are decided.
